To the north of the old A55, shafts at SJ 1465 7677 and SJ 1480 7690, with a continuation of shafts extending eastward. South of the road, the area has since been developed into market gardens, leaving little visible evidence of the mining activity. The two shafts at SJ 1460 7670 and SJ 1465 7670 are associated with Merllyn.
The Merllyn Group was involved in multiple mining ventures in the Gorsedd area, where the Merllyn Vein runs. The main mine site was located near Merllyn Farm (SJ 1470 7680), with shafts likely worked in the surrounding pasture fields.
