Wheal Crebor, situated about two miles southwest of Tavistock, operated including West Wheal Crebor. It worked Main Lode and South Lode from several shafts including Rundle’s, Gill’s, Kelly’s, Cock’s, Smiths, and New East Shaft. Production records indicate that between 1804 and 1828, 27,490 tons of copper ore were raised. From 1852 to 1856 and then from 1859 to 1893, the mine produced 35,541 tons of copper ore with a grade of 6.3%. Additionally, between 1869 and 1902, 24,919 tons of mispickel were produced.
