Year Activity
1701 Lease taken up by William Waller’s Mine Adventurers, with long adit being driven on the lode under the boggy hillside*.
1710-1720 According to Lewis Morris, a great amount of argentiferous ore was discovered during this period.
1740s Was still yielding a profit with Waller’s son as manager.
1848-9 Some work done by the Bwlch company.

Lewis Morris recommened the driving of a deep adit, but the ultimate depth of the mine was only 12fm below adit, and the lode was never tested at depth.

*There was a general belief that boggy ground was an indication of good mineralisation!
