Ward’s Shaft, a singular shaft known independently from Chiverton Moor Mine, is mentioned by Spargo as a distinct operation. However, Dines includes Ward’s Shaft within Chiverton Moor Mine, albeit noting that it explored two lodes unique to the area. Despite its inclusion under Chiverton Moor Mine, mine plans from 1869 and 1873 reveal that Ward’s Shaft’s limited workings were not interconnected with the main operations of Chiverton Moor Mine.
