Not to worry! My moraine also got corrected by Chris to a river terrace!!
I think what's happened here is that river coming down from the south has just swept part of an alluvial fan (according to my drift map) away leaving a linear feature.

Another plug for the National Library of Scotland's on-line maps. The terraces show up beautifully on LIDAR
