Parc lead mine questions

Ahhh the cyffty deep adit ? Interesting I laid inside here and got to barb wire ! On the inside .

People have been exploring parc since the 70s it’s incredible really , so level 5 was landscaped over before your explore ?

Did you ever go in 4 with the archway

Its possible to get up into the Cwffty adit bit not as far as the above mentioned plug. In the other direction, almost as far as the filled in Engine Shaft, but some 'interesting' challenges on the way.

EDIT Tom beat me to it when posting. I believe that there was rubble to the roof at the barbed wire?

Yes thats exactly it , was rocks to the roof mixed with barb wire , Very noticeable cold water coming into the mine as it was snowing on that trip when we sat in the western shaft for lunch .

I believe the Shallow adit was underneath the engine house itself , looking towards the puddle pit"stood in car park" , there is a fence on the slope to the left , maybe the tubs came up and out here also ??

still no clearer to what the old shafts in the field exactly was ? possibly a different cyffty venture "old"

The first time we went there the remains of the process plant were still there . I especially remember the tall Y shaped concrete tank structure.
We only went into 2 and 3 at that time. By the time we next went the site had been landscaped.
Our work in the nineties was only on 2 and 3 and various shafts and trial adits plus Hafna and Cyffty.

I have a couple of pics from our work in the 90's but nothing earlier.

I know Lynn Willies had some shots of the bell crank and other stuff from the early 70's.

I'll try and remember to ask him next time I see him.

There is some Dickie Bird stuff, its in his books and you may well find it on Youtube. he did make a lot of his archive photos into videos that he uploaded.
