Wezzit - Mine Edition

Definitely not the gwydyr . @Ian Adams hello long time since I seen you .

I was struggling with the name of the mine I was thinking of, I think it may be Castle Gold Mine. It's not in the Gwydyr but rather just over the peak of Rhobell Fawr that sits in the Coed-y-Brenin forest (Bala side as opposed to Dolgellau side). I seem to remember some tall workings in there like the photo but, there again, there are a good few like that ;)

and, "Hello!" :giggle:

I think it maybe further South to all the above suggestions, I'll have another guess, Bwlch Glas

Do we need a clue? There was a post about this mine on this forum in the past few weeks.

It's not as well known as Cwmystwyth. Out of the two Ystrad einion is closest.

The mine is named after a village.

I'll have a guess at Tal-y-Bont BUT, it is only a guess because when I visited there, I couldn't find anything more than a couple of trials and a small working.

Sound. I'll put up a hard one (I'm probably the only modern explorer to have gone down, but this might flush out any others!).
We are looking along a level which is cut by a 6ft by 12ft (approx) shaft about 30m from the collar. The shaft is flooded about another 5m down.

If it doesn't get guessed fairly quickly I'll put up a more sane one.

Chris.
